各位親愛的家長、老師及同學們：
大家好！新學年開始，在此我謹代表學校，向全校師生及榮茵大家庭的全體家長致以最誠摯的問候，並熱烈歡迎新加入我們的家長與新同學！
去年，我們以「Dream Big, Fly High（夢想偉大 展翅高飛）」為發展藍圖，攜手邁向新起點。隨着學校邁入新里程，在新學年中，我們將推行新一周期的三年發展計劃，並以「擁抱創科新世代，傳承價值育全人」為主題，承先啟後，為孩子們打造更優質、更前瞻的學習環境。
創科引領，啟迪未來
為配合全新發展主題，學校展現了推動數字教育與創科學習的堅定決心：
· AI 融入日常教學：全方位將人工智能（AI）引入課堂，提升學生的課堂參與、自主學習及多元評估成效。
· 成立「數字教育核心小組」：專責規劃與落實校本科技教育的長遠藍圖。
· 深化 AI 學習資源：成功申請「賽馬會人工智能教育計劃 (GO AI)」，引進豐富免費教學資源，全面提升孩子的科技素養。
價值深耕，全人發展
在培育孩子健全人格與身心健康方面，我們積極回應教育局最新的《小學教育課程指引》：
· 優化學習與課程：推行全新全日制時間表，優化評估及國民教育政策，並確立校本核心價值框架。
· 推動中華文化與德育：成功獲批優質教育基金主題網絡計劃，將透過「文言經典建議篇章」，深化國學、國史、國家安全及價值觀教育。
· 關顧身心健康與理財素養：響應「4Rs精神健康約章」，並推行「香港賽馬會智理財教育」計劃；配合多元校園設施，打造充滿樂趣與包容性的「高 FUN」校園，讓孩子健康快樂成長。
碩果累累，捷報頻傳
過去一年，榮茵學子在各項公開賽事中屢創佳績，表現令人振奮：
· 體育與藝術：街舞隊與兒童舞隊於「第十屆全港校際 Hip Hop 舞蹈比賽」中，分別勇奪第一名「至尊榮譽獎」及「優勝獎」；男子籃球隊亦於元朗區小學校際籃球比賽中發揮堅毅精神，榮獲男子組殿軍；香港學校音樂節小學合唱組別銅獎。
· 學術與表演：英語戲劇組囊括「傑出整體演出」、「傑出導演」、「傑出劇本」等六大獎項；兩文三語表現卓越，於香港校際朗誦比賽中斬獲 4 項團體大獎，包括校際朗誦節（粵語散文 男女合誦組）冠軍、超級語言朗誦節（普通話組）冠軍、校際朗誦節（英詩集誦 男子組）季軍及校際朗誦節（普通話組）季軍，個人優異及良好獎項更突破 100 大關！此外，本校六年級蕭孝言同學更憑著卓越表現，榮獲新界鄉議局主辦的「第十八屆元朗區傑出小學生」。
這一切令人驕傲的成果，離不開全體榮茵學子的努力，更歸功於我們專業、熱誠的教師團隊。同時，我亦要向家長教師會、各位理事及義工家長致以最深切的感謝。感謝您們無私的奉獻與緊密的家校合作，為孩子們樹立了優秀的榜樣。

Embracing a New Era of Innovation and Technology, Nurturing the Whole Person through Enduring Values
Dear Parents, Teachers and Students,
Greetings! As the new school year begins, on behalf of the school, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all teachers, students and parents in the Wing Yan family, and a heartfelt welcome to our new parents and students.
Last year, guided by our development blueprint, “Dream Big, Fly High”, we embarked together on a new beginning. As the school reaches another milestone, we will launch a new three-year development plan in the coming school year under the theme “Embracing a New Era of Innovation and Technology, Nurturing the Whole Person through Enduring Values”. Building on our achievements while moving forward, we aim to create a higher-quality, more future-oriented learning environment for our children.
Innovation and Technology as a Driving Force for the Future
In support of our new development theme, the school is demonstrating a firm commitment to advancing digital education and innovation-and-technology learning:
· Integrating AI into everyday teaching: Artificial intelligence (AI) will be incorporated comprehensively into classroom learning to enhance student participation, self-directed learning and diverse forms of assessment.
· Establishing a Digital Education Core Team: The team will be responsible for planning and implementing the school’s long-term vision for technology education.
· Enriching AI learning resources: The school has successfully joined the Jockey Club AI Education Programme (GO AI), bringing in a wealth of free teaching resources to strengthen students’ technological literacy.
Deepening Values Education and Promoting Whole-Person Development
To foster sound character and physical and mental well-being in our children, we are actively responding to the Education Bureau’s latest Primary Education Curriculum Guide:
· Enhancing learning and the curriculum: We will introduce a new whole-day timetable, refine assessment and national education policies, and establish a school-based core values framework.
· Promoting Chinese culture and moral education: The school has successfully secured support under the Quality Education Fund Thematic Network Programme. Through the recommended classical Chinese texts, we will deepen education in Chinese studies, Chinese history, national security and values.
· Supporting well-being and financial literacy: We will uphold the 4Rs Mental Health Charter and implement the Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme. Together with our diverse campus facilities, these initiatives will create a fun and inclusive “High-FUN” campus where children can grow up healthy and happy.
A Year of Outstanding Achievements
Over the past year, Wing Yan students achieved remarkable results in a wide range of open competitions:
· Sports and the arts: At the 10th Hong Kong Inter-School Hip Hop Dance Competition, our street dance team and children’s dance team won the first-place “Supreme Honour Award” and the “Merit Award” respectively. The boys’ basketball team also demonstrated admirable perseverance and placed fourth in the boys’ division of the Yuen Long District Primary Schools Inter-School Basketball Competition. Our primary school choir received a Bronze Award at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
· Academics and performance: The English Drama Team won six major awards, including Outstanding Overall Performance, Outstanding Director and Outstanding Script. Our students also excelled in Cantonese, Putonghua and English, securing four group awards at Hong Kong inter-school speech competitions: Champion in Cantonese Prose Choral Speaking (Mixed Group), Champion in Putonghua at the Super Language Speech Festival, Third Place in English Choral Speaking (Boys’ Group), and Third Place in Putonghua at the Inter-School Speech Festival. The number of individual Certificates of Merit and Proficiency exceeded 100. In addition, Primary 6 student Siu Hau-yin received the “18th Yuen Long District Outstanding Primary Student” award organised by the Heung Yee Kuk New Territories.
These proud achievements would not have been possible without the dedication of every Wing Yan student and the professionalism and passion of our teaching team. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to the Parent-Teacher Association, its committee members and our parent volunteers. Your selfless service and close home-school partnership have set an excellent example for our children.
A new school year brings new hope. Let us continue to walk side by side, guiding the children of Wing Yan to embrace the new era and spread their wings towards their dreams.
